Clinical trials for esophageal cancer patients

Summary of my story:

On 2022-9-19 my gastroenterologist found a large tumor in my lower esophagus.  My first PET scan showed cancerous tumor and several local lymph nodes with cancer.  I first had 3 rounds of chemo spaced 2 weeks apart.  My second PET scan after 3 chemo treatments showed 40% reduction in tumor size.  See Facebook cancer update posts for more details.  I have now had  28 radiation and chemo treatments and had side affects including vomiting, coughing, diarrhea, and feeling very tired.  On May 1  I had endoscopy and on May 3 I had PET scan.  The really good news is that the cancerous tumor is gone, and no additional treatments are planned.  I am now scheduled to have another PET scan and endoscopy in August.  Updated May 3, 2023.
